 About Me

Emma was introduced to music at a very young age by her Nanna. They used to watch Cats and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat over and over and over again when she stayed at her house as a child. They would watch the DVD and then listen to the CD when they would go out for a drive later in the day. These memories are what started her love for musicals and music in general.

In school Emma was involved in choirs, bands, musicals and plays, which resulted in her love for music staying strong throughout her formative years.

Emma has a background of musical theory after playing the flute for eight years and the piccolo for two years.

Emma started going to concerts in her last year of high school, which is when the thought of doing something behind the scenes became a reality.

"I could easily imagine myself helping put on these incredible shows I was seeing, and I wanted to be able to recreate the feelings I was getting, but for other people."

Emma started a Bachelor of Audio at SAE Institute Brisbane in January of 2020. During her time there, she was given the opportunity to learn a multitude of valuable skills, including recording, mic placement, live sound reinforcement, post production (foley and ADR), mixing and mastering.

With those skills, Emma has been able to record two different orchestras (Queensland Wind Orchestra and Cadenza Chamber Orchestra), be the FOH engineer for Legally Blonde Jr. at ROAR Academy and Queensland Wind and Brass, and FOH and Monitor engineer at Wynnum Fringe Festival 2020.

Emma has also recorded, mixed and mastered a 7 song EP for Brisbane group The Salty Sirens, including a 5.1 surround sound track.

Emma has been working alongside Hazzard Sound for live sound reinforcement across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. They work with regular clients such as Roger Davy (a former Ten Tenor) and Adam Bartlett from TenorUs, Meg Kiddle, and Brisbane cover band FatChance.
